Our fabric consists of 88% polyamide and 12% elastane. This is a blend of synthetic fibers. Textiles have environmental impacts during production, use, and disposal. We therefore distinguish between what we know about our fabric and what cannot be claimed without product-specific data.

Polyamide and elastane are synthetic fibers. The raw materials and production have an environmental impact; these can vary per fiber and production process.

The composition of our fabric is 88% polyamide and 12% elastane. It is therefore a better alternative than what is often supplied.

Microfibers can be released when washing and wearing synthetic fabrics. The amount depends on the material, construction, and conditions of use.

Because our clothing has a different composition than most corporate wear, it is responsibly made, remains in good condition during washing, and does not release any harmful substances.

Onze huidige kennis
Een eerlijke materiaalclaim is beter dan een groene belofte.
The sustainability of travel fabric lies in various aspects that together make a big difference. The main advantage is the long lifespan of the material. Where a cotton shirt may lose its shape and color after dozens of washes, travel fabric remains looking good for years.

Is Le Traveliér-kleding duurzaam?
We kunnen dat niet als algemene productclaim onderbouwen met een volledige levenscyclusanalyse of onafhankelijke certificering. We delen wel de bekende samenstelling en de afwegingen van de vezelmix.
Is de stof gemaakt van gerecycled materiaal?
We vermelden geen gerecycled percentage voor deze stof, omdat we daar geen productspecifieke bevestiging van hebben.
Heeft polyamide invloed op het milieu?
De productie van synthetische vezels vraagt grondstoffen en energie en kan milieueffecten hebben. De omvang hangt af van de grondstof, energiebron, productie en levenscyclus.
Wat kan ik zelf doen?
Gebruik kleding zo lang als passend, volg het waslabel, was alleen wanneer nodig en lever afgedankte kleding in voor hergebruik of textielinzameling waar dat beschikbaar is.
